The latter has certainly been loud and proud with Trump and the conservative movement generally but often talks about political themes more openly than Zuckerberg. Will This Work?
Frankly, that’s hard to say. On one hand, reaching out to rebuild relations with the administration may keep an administration at bay that might otherwise target the company for regulatory actions and could help Meta. These efforts, however, are likely to alienate other political factions and continue debates that center on accusations of bias and favoritism.
From my perspective, if Zuckerberg plays the long game and balances neutrality with not rocking the boat unnecessarily, this could pay off. But should Meta get too chummy with a political figure, its already fragile reputation will take a hit.
